«Del Fume feat. Carol Schuler» is a music project based on a deep creative connection between two artists: Tobias Tissi as the musician and producer Del Fume, and Carol Schuler, singer and versatile actress who has made a name for herself both on the theater stage and in film and television productions such as «Tatort».
In fact, their musical collaboration began over 20 years ago when their paths crossed in Winterthur. This artistic collaboration was characterized by a wild exploration of different styles and a great desire for experimentation. Even back then, this encounter resulted in unique songs that could not be labeled.
The two then went their separate ways and delved deeper into their fields independently: Del Fume in music, Carol Schuler in acting and in various band projects in her adopted hometown of Berlin.
Around two decades after they had first met, chance brought them together again in the summer of 2022 and they decided to pick up where they had left off.
Under the name «Del Fume feat. Carol Schuler», a musical synergy was created that fuses different styles such as rock, soul and electro. The project is characterized by a conscious exploration of contradictions: digital and analog sounds, powerful guitar riffs and electronic bass, real drums and fake brawls, brute intensity and fragile, intimate moments, as well as the primal human joy of storytelling.
The collaboration resulted in the recording of four songs - they are snapshots that explore the emotional world of the artists. - Songs that show how impressions can become expressions and perspectives can become insights.
«Del Fume feat. Carol Schuler» is more than a musical one-night-brand - it is an artistic statement that connects the past with the present and will endure into the future. It shows how deep-rooted creative connections can be revived even after years of separation to once again transform strong and unadulterated emotions into music.
